My husband and I were looking for another horse to add to our family as my
husband decided he wanted to learn to ride. My husband was never even introduced
to horses until recently so I wanted to find a well-trained horse that would
take care of him while he was learning.
My husband and I have a small private
horse and dog rescue and it is very important for us to give a home to a horse
that needs one instead of spending tons of money. I found out about the Donate
My Horse site from several of the rescue lists I belong to and decided to take
a look.
I found one horse available
in Florida who seemed perfect to me. His name is Paladin and he is a 9 year
old TB, quiet, well-trained who has developed some health issues (arthritis)
where an easier life would be beneficial to him. I spoke to his current owner
Sarah and we decided he would make a great match. Paladin has been with us
for about 2 weeks now and we are thrilled to death with him.
This has been a
win-win situation for us. We have a wonderfully trained
horse to teach my hubby to ride and Paladin has a home for the rest of
his life even if he can no longer be ridden. Thank

Hello I just wanted to write to say this site is wonderful. About 4 months
ago we adopted a 9 yr old Quarter horse that was retired from showing.
We got "Cadillac" for
my mom with a disabling disease and this horse has made her sooo unbelievably
happy. This connection was because of your website. We now tell everyone about
this wonderful website because it truely does work finding the right homes
for the right horse.
Thank you for providing this service. Even though "Cadillac" came
to us from Texas, we still keep in touch with the old owner and everyone is
thrilled how it all worked out.
